Text to Single Line

This tool takes any multi-line text and converts it into a single continuous line by removing all line breaks and newline characters. You can choose to replace line breaks with spaces to keep words separated, or remove them entirely to join words directly.

Converting text to a single line is useful for preparing data for spreadsheets, databases, or programming languages that require single-line strings. It's also helpful when copying text from PDFs that have awkward line breaks, or when formatting content for JSON, CSV files, and command-line inputs.

By default, the tool replaces line breaks with spaces, so your words remain properly separated. However, you can toggle the option to remove line breaks completely if you need to join words directly without spaces. You can also choose to trim extra whitespace for cleaner results.

There is no practical limit. The tool processes text directly in your browser using JavaScript, allowing you to convert documents of any size without uploading to a server. This ensures your data stays private and processing is instant.

Once text is converted to a single line, the original line break positions are removed and cannot be automatically restored. We recommend keeping a copy of your original text if you need to reference the original formatting later.
